Vince McMahon creates something worse than the XFL
Posted June 19th, 2007 by Ron Filed Under: UncategorizedI have been a WWE fan since I was a tot watching Hulk Hogan wrestle for the WWE which at the time was actually called the WWF.For those readers who dont know World Wrestling Entertainent (WWE) was originally World Wrestling Federaton (WWF) until they lost a law suit over the name/initials which were copyrighted by World WildLife foundation.
Wrestling is a form of entertainment. Its matches are coreographed but the actions taken in the ring are extremely physical. It is a Soap opera for guys; With out there stories and characters. The stories are usually funny, patriotic and/or the kind that make you want to see one guy kick the others ass.
Now unfortunetly there have been wrestlers who have died (for real) in their prime such as Owen Heart and the late Eddie Guerrero. Now when those events took place it was necessary for the for the show to go on to adress these unfortunate events.
What normally takes place after the passing of a wrestler is a tribute show. This is a great thing where there are highlights of matches and matches dedicated to the late wrestler. Now unfortunatly after Eddie Guerrero passed Vince Mcahon continued to use Eddie’s death in storyline but thats not what this article is about.
Last weeks Monday night raw’s featured Vince McMahon apprectiation night which in reality the episode was the opposite; Wrestlers and actors ragged on Mr McMahon through the whole show. The show ended out with Mr Mcahon walking out to his limo entering it to leave followed by the limo blowing up after he shuts the door.
As soon as the show went off the air the WWE website’s head line is Mr McMahon presumed dead. Its blaitently obvious that this is a stunt done to attract viewers and create publicity.
Its sad that this is whats done to get ratings. Vince McMahon is not dead yet this past Monday a memorial show was done for him. Also there is most likely going to be an ongoing storline surrounding his death. Its going to be a who done it in the WWE story.
Yes wrestling is just like a soap opera but with this story of Mr McMahon being blown up killed murdererd however you want to put it; its too much. It hits too close with nerves. I dont think playing the death card in wrestling when its fiction is called for its sad enough you have actual deaths in wrestling.
Vince McMahon is a cut throat promoter who will stop at nothing to get ratings and make money but not unlike the XFL I have this question to ask has Vince Mcahon gone too far? I think so.

The Wonderful World of Wrestling just keeps getting better (worse) and better (worse). The 80’s was fun. The 90’s went downhill. Today’s wrestling entertainment is just retarded.
the late 90’s was wrestling’s prime years!
they had the best writers - the guys that came up with stuff like “The Corporation” and “Degeneration X” left the show, and then it went downhill.
come on - remember how crushed you felt when the “People’s Elbow” became the “Corporate Elbow”?!?! What a sell out that Rock is.
Hi all. Cool site Google
Thank.
