This happens practically everywhere, especially when there is a large audience. The only way to stand out sometimes is to be either abrasive or offensive, and some people just want attention (sad as that may be, its unfortunately true). All you can do is leave your 2 cents, and simply dont respond to replys that are not directly related to what you wrote (ie making it into some kind of personal attack).
