It’s another new ‘Basement’ serial column. We’re going to try to start writing topic based articles more often here, and cut back slightly on the randomness. Well, the random news will probably continue, just for the hell of it. But we’ll also have consistent articles that we’ll be updating. “The Weekend Tuber” will be highlighting a user from YouTube that we’ve been following.

In our first edition of “The Weekend Tuber” we’ll be putting the spotlight on YouTube user “travisandjonathon.” They’ve been creating absurd skits called “Red State Update” that have generated such a buzz that they are now featured on DirectTV’s channel 101’s “The Fizz”. It stars a couple of rambling red necks that try voicing their opinions on a bunch of controversial issues.
