Musical Monday
Posted June 4th, 2007 by AJ Filed Under: UncategorizedOnce again, it is Monday, and as always, it means that it is time to shine the Basement spotlight on another artist who didn’t quite get the recognizing he truly deserved.
Back in 1999, I first heard a song by an English musician, who was trying to make a name for himself in the United States. While he is one of the most popular musicians in Irish music, America did not get its first taste of David Gray until his fourth album, White Ladder, his first world wide release. The CD was the first release from Dave Matthews ATO Records, and to this day is the best selling album in Ireland.
In my opinion, White Ladder is one of the most underrated CD’s that I have ever listened to. It is a very mellow and easy album to listen too.
Here is the best quality video I could find for David Gray’s first single off of White Ladder, “Please Forgive Me”.
