Musical Monday

As always, it’s time for our weekly installment to everyones favorite Basement series, Musical Monday. This week, we honor one of the greatest, underrated performers of our time.
Yesterday, I was fortunate enough to attend the second day of the Bamboozle Music Festival, an annual concert that takes place in New Jersey. The festival is a two day event, that had performances from over 150 bands, including Linkin Park, Reliant K, Thursday, Motion City Soundtrack, just to name a few. Some of the days better sets came from Anberlin, Circa Survive, and really anyone not named Taking Back Sunday.
Arguably, the best set of the day came towards the end, when Weird Al Yankovic took to the stage. With “Canadian Idiot”, “Smells Like Nirvana”, “Amish Paradise”, and more. The very humorous set really picked up a crowd that was disappointed after T.B.S.. One song he did not play, was one of my favorites, “The Saga Begins”, which is a parody of Don McLean’s hit “American Pie”. To make up for it, here it is.

Anberlin is awesome. Relient K is awesome. Linkin Park’s new CD sounds like they went soft.
