Yea I said it. The Apple fan-boy that I am has no respect for the iPhone. Especially when Apple decided to pick the crappiest service for their Jesus phone. But thats old news. The thing that makes my opinion so negative to the iPhone is something thats just around the corner.

Now I am in no way a Nokia fan boy. In fact I have never personally owned a Nokia Phone, but the N800 is the most amazing device I have ever seen. Not only does it have almost everything the iPhone has, but it has some nice gems hidden up its sleeves plus is ten times more versatile of a device.

I am not gonna go into all the bells and whistles of the N800, you can check that out for yourself here and here. What I am going to tell you about is what is to come for the N800. WiMAX is going to be added into the N800 next year and with Sprint’s roll-out of WIMAX at the end of 2007 we will be in for an amazing 2008.

This is via PDAStreet. “Rumor has it that Sprint will deliver WiMAX service for a flat fee of $55 dollars per month for multiple devices. This is far different than today’s high-speed broadband models, which charge a separately per device (i.e. a smartphones, laptops).” This will be the nail that puts the iPhone and the other wireless carriers in their respective coffins. This will be the future and unless Apple can jump off the at&t ship and on to the WIMAX rocket-ship the iPhone would have been nothing more than a blip in the proverbial cellphone market. But since Apple has a five year deal with at&t for everything iPhone, they are going to be left in the dust.

If you are a true Apple fan-boy then you better start emailing Apple now and make them aware of what they need to do for their Jesus Phone, because if you don’t you will never get anything that has the elegance of the iPhone and the versatility of the N800. Whats more important for you, because for me its versatility and the iPhone doesn’t have it.
